Nathaniel Lee Alonzo, 44, of Ottawa, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2026 at his home.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services and private burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park on Friday.
Nathaniel was born on September 30, 1982 in Ottawa, IL. He attended Ottawa High School and later worked at the Costco Distribution Center in Morris. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and loved sports. He enjoyed playing video games and board games, especially with his daughters. He enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed going fishing on occasion.
He is survived by his parents, Mary and Joseph Grennan; his daughters, McKenzie and Tenley Alonzo; his siblings, Ryan Alonzo, William Grennan, and Sean Grennan; his maternal grandma, Donna Dorton; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Dorton; and his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Dorothy Grennan.
