Hegeler Carus Mansion’s staff are hoping to get lots of people interested in paying for full tours through free “teaser tours”. Executive Director Cindy Waddick says short videos sent out every Tuesday tell about something in the mansion or someone who lived in it.
Waddick says most of what’s in the mansion in LaSalle is original and shows what the place was actually like. That’s why for most things it’s look but don’t touch. She says other mansions have things replicating how things may have been.
