OSF Healthcare has given a 1,000 dollars scholarship to an Ottawa High School student who wants to get a degree in Special Education.
Marta Johnson earned the Don Morehead Community Service Scholarship for this year.
Johnson plans to attend Hope College in Holland, Michigan to continue her education and after graduating plans to move to Uganda to work, live and serve in a rural community.
The scholarship is open to any student at OHS who want to continue their education after high school.
The selection is based off of the scholarship application, overall citizenship, community involvement, and other criteria.
