Jody Kay Brooks, 58, of Ottawa, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at her home.
Memorial visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. Sunday, August 9 at Seals-Campbell Funeral home in Marseilles. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with pastor Sherry Stevenson officiating. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Seals-Campbell Funeral Home.
Jody was born on August 4, 1968, in Ottawa, IL, to Richard Allen and Billie Jean (Johnson) Brooks.
She was a employed at CTS Knights and JK Audio in Sandwich, and later by Step by Step Day Care. She was a member of Wedron Methodist Church and Job’s Daughters.
Jody is survived by her daughter, Emily Anna (Zach Johnson) Smith; her grandson, Mathias Johnson; one sister, Kelly Henry; her niece and nephews, Trevor (Emily) Tipton, Jerrid (Jayna) Henry, and Haley (Austin) Davis; her great niece and nephews, Khloe and Owen Davis, and Ripken Henry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters, Kimberly Brooks and Barbara Tipton.
