The Marseilles City Council approved to help relocate and move one business and a tenant at Wednesday’s meeting.
The project that is going to realign Main, Commercial and Broadway Street involves the removal of buildings that both the person and the business are located in.
The city council approved paying 9,800 dollars to help a tenant, Brock Miller, move out of where he lives.
They also approved 2,965 dollars in moving expenses for a group that owns an antique store.
The project to realign Main, Commercial and Broadway is happening because Commissioner of the Streets Nathan Schaefer says it’s causing a lot of traffic problems including problems getting emergency vehicles out when needed.
