Richard L Harris, age 70, of Ottawa, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026.
There will be no visitation due to personal wishes. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.
Richard was born September 3, 1955 to Charles and Louise (Haage) Harris. He attended Wallace grade school and graduated Ottawa township high school in 1974.
You could always find Richard tinkering in his garage. He enjoyed being outside and had a lawn business for many years. He loved watching sports. His favorite spot was in his recliner during the Cubs and Bears and Commanders respective seasons. More than anything though, he loved his 6 grandchildren, including Cashton, Cannan, Cohen, Jovie and Ellie.
He will be remembered by his children, Dalton Harris (Lexie) and Cheyenne Henderson (Isaac), his 6 grandchildren, a sister Nancy Kein and his mother Louise Harris (Haage). He was preceded in death by his father Charles Harris Sr, sisters Brenda Schunke and Karen Ceja, and one brother Charles Harris Jr.
