A five-year labor contract for Ottawa High School teachers is becoming a six-year contract. The school board and the union agreed to a one-year extension. Supt. Mike Cushing says with the pandemic going on, it made sense to both sides to extend the current contract for now instead of working on an entire new agreement. The current contract was approved in 2018 and was retroactive to 2016.
