The six-month old court case over the LaSalle County State’s Attorney’s race outcome is still going. Grundy County Judge Scott Belt has set a June 3rd hearing on the latest requests to toss it out. Democrat Todd Martin has been the LaSalle County State’s Attorney since December 1st. LaSalle County Republican Party Chairman Larry Smith claims Republican Karen Donnelly was the rightful winner. He claims County Clerk Lori Bongartz bungled ballot handling.
