Marla (Burkhart) Clausen, 78, of Marseilles, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, June 5, 2026 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa with Rev. Kevin Garner, Pastor of Fox River Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Fox River Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

Marla was born on March 15, 1948 in Berwyn, IL to Clair and Mary (McDowell) Burkhart. She was a graduate of Downers Grove North High School. Marla worked as a farmer for 29 years. She married Eliot Del Longo in April 13, 1963 in DuPage Co. and then married Ray Clausen on August 12, 1982 in Lisle, IL. Marla was a member of Fox River Lutheran Church. She loved sewing, Girl Scouts, and homemaking.

She is survived by her three children, Kristie Clausen, Edward (Janet) Del Longo, Mary Ann (Bob) Schneider; two grandchildren, Scott and Jared Schneider.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clair and Mary Burkhart.
