Edward Henry Strehl, 90, of Ottawa, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at The Pavilion of Ottawa.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Ottawa, with Rev. Ron Rock officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service, at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa
Edward was born on May 12, 1935 in Ottawa to Albert and Alma (Warnick) Strehl. He married Carlene Miller on December 30, 1959. Edward was an electrician for the City of Ottawa and later an electrician for LOF. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ottawa. Edward was involved with the Boy Scouts all of his life and was a former Scoutmaster at Troop #45 in Ottawa. He was proud that all five of his grandsons achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
He is survived by his wife, Carlene; four children, Mark Strehl, Susan Schueler, Paul (Julie) Strehl, and Brenda (Thomas) Thrush; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Margaret Strehl Buck and Carol Thorton; and a brother, Milton Strehl.
