Kathryn H. Fleming, age 85, of Ottawa, passed away Friday, April 17, 2026, in the presence of her loving family.
Kathryn was born August 22, 1940 in Ottawa, Illinois, to Ira Grady and Margaret (Miller) Grady. She married Ronald Fleming who preceded her in death November 25, 1990. Kathryn is survived by her devoted children, Troy (Christina) Fleming, Todd (Nina) Fleming, Ronda (Shaun Torres) Fleming, Rodney (Michele) Fleming all of Ottawa and Megan (Jack) Durrant of Minooka. She also leaves her loving grandchildren Jesse, Justin, Amanda, Ethan, Jagger, Shaye, Luke, Ally and Matt Fleming; great-grandchildren Kayleigh Bass, Willow and Zane Biewer, Aedan, Drake and Tobin Fleming; a brother, Tom (Jan) Grady of Ottawa; and a sister, Debbie (Greg) Ludwig of Ottawa. In addition to her husband, Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Cora Lee Green.
Kathryn had been a member of Christ Episcopal Church and the Ottawa VFW Auxiliary. She had been employed as cafeteria cashier at the Community Hospital of Ottawa for many years. Kathryn enjoyed playing bingo, Friday night dinners with Cora Lee and watching the kids’ softball games. Time spent with her adoring family was most precious to her. She will be deeply missed.
Visitation for Kathryn will begin at 9:00 AM Tuesday, April 21st at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM Tuesday with Rev. Bill Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Marseilles.
