Madelaine F. “Mandy” Angelico, 84, of Marseilles, passed away Friday, March 20, 2026 at Serenity of Morris.
A celebration of life will be held from 12 to 3 p.m. Saturday April 4 at the Marseilles American Legion. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Seneca. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles was entrusted with arrangements and cremation rites.
She was born February 14, 1942 in Morris to Lester and Viola (Briddick) Thorson. On June 28, 1958, she married Ralph Angelico of Seneca who survives. Mandy and Ralph worked at the Marseilles Foundry for many years, later she waitressed for local restaurants and was a bar tender at Bowl-Rite for many years. She was a member of the Marseilles Lioness Club. Mandy enjoyed fishing, euchre, a good conversation over a beer, and loved her friends, cats and family. She is survived by her husband, Ralph; two sons, Aaron (Tammy) and Ralph “Tracey” (Brenda); five grandchildren, Ariel Elizabeth, Aaron James “A.J.” and Taylor Angelico, Summer Spires and Natasha McClain; a sister-in-law, Georgie (Don) Boren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Toni Spires; a son in infancy, Joseph; and two sisters, Marlene Grounds and Sherrill Butterfield. Memorials may be directed to Pet Project or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
