Sponsors of a new election reform bill in Illinois say election judges across the state get different training. Morris Republican Sen. Sue Rezin says they’d all get the same training under the Election Standardization Act.
The bill would also give voters access to information about voting by mail. It would require county clerks to post on their web sites the reasons for any ballot counting delays more than five hours after the polls close. And there would be audits to make sure voting by mail is being handled correctly.

St. Sen. Sue Rezin talks online with news media Thursday about the Election Standardization Act.
