One of the issues that was brought up by Mayor Dominic Rivera at Monday’s Oglesby City Council meeting is how the new substation that will be built can work with the weather and restrooms for employees.

Ameren real estate agent Mark Featherstone says those issues are taken care of.

He says that there are no need for restrooms because there won’t be a full time staff at the substation.

Featherstone says the new station will work with the current substation and will bring 138,000 volts.

He also addressed the city council to bring three variant requests including adding a fence that needs to be taller than the city allows.
