By this time next week, LaSalle, Bureau, Livingston, Putnam, Marshall, and Stark counties should have received federal coronavirus relief money. The North Central Illinois Council of Governments says the six counties are getting all together $48.6 million.

Cities in those counties will split $24.2 million. It’ll take longer for them to get the money, with the first amounts to be sent by June 9.

Just what’s to be done with the money hasn’t been announced yet. That will come from the U.S. Dept. of the Treasury.
