Seneca High School Supt. Jim Carlson says the best way to treat the air for the coronavirus is to keep bringing fresh air into a building. But he’s heard of systems that use filters and ultraviolet to remove mold and kill viruses. He’s looking into them. He wants independent reports on how well such systems work. He doesn’t want to rely only on the manufacturers’ claims.
Bringing in fresh air has some challenges. The HVAC system has more work to do to heat or cool the air and remove humidity.
