Renae Beth Bute-Winner, 64, of Seneca, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday May 4, 2021 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. It is kindly requested that those in attendance of the visitation and services wear a mask and practice social distancing. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.
Renae was born July 17, 1956, in Ottawa, to Charles A. and Marilyn (Morello) Nicholson. On March 17, 1995, she married Jay Arnold Winner of Ottawa who preceded her in death in 2020.
Renae graduated from Marseilles High School in the class of 1974. She received her Registered Nursing Degree from Rush Copley School of Nursing. She was employed by Community Hospital of Ottawa from 1977, as a Registered Nurse and became the Nurse Manager of Choices, until her retirement in 2015.
She was a strong and independent woman, who loved to fish and garden. She enjoyed going to the family cabin in Tomahawk, WI. She loved to muskie and walleye fish with her dad and cook with her mom, both of which she passed down to her children.
She is survived by her son, Ryan Bute of Seneca; one daughter, Crystal (Sean) Aukland of Mazon; six grandchildren, Blake, Bella, and Elleigh Bute, Rayce, Riley, and Haley Aukland; her mother, Marilyn Nicholson of Marseilles; her sister, Vicki (Mike Chase) Nicholson of Marseilles; and her nephew, Jason Beldon of Marseilles.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ada and Charles E. Nicholson and Catherine and Quinto Morello; her father, Charles A. Nicholson; her husband, Jay Winner and a niece, Jessica Beldon.
