Joanne Mary Pellegrini, 88, of Marseilles, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Advocate Christ Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marseilles. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles. It is kindly requested that those in attendance of the visitation and mass wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Joanne was born January 16, 1933, in Chicago, to George and Sarah (Walsh) Hoffman. On April 19, 1952, she married Vincent Pellegrini of Marseilles who survives.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and a member of their Holy Name Society. She loved spoiling her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including by sewing unique handmade Christmas stockings, for all of them. She was an incredible listener who made friends everywhere she went. She will always be remembered as a loving, peaceful and truly happy wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Vince; three children, Rick (Kat) Pellegrini of Marseilles, Larry (Juan) Pellegrini of Portland, OR, and Cindy (Al) Moore of Marseilles; seven grandchildren, Brittany Cukierski, Tyler, Dustin, and Alex Pellegrini, Renee Jury, Katie Bolf, and Ashley Moore; five great-grandchildren, Michael, Gianna, Jase, Mason, and Hadley; and her brother, Richard (Julie) Hoffman.
She was preceded by her parents; a brother, Paul Hoffman, a sister in infancy, and a great-granddaughter, Kolby.
Memorials may be directed to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marseilles for masses in memory of Joanne.
Pallbearers will be Tyler, Dustin and Alex Pellegrini, Anthony Cukierski, Chris Jury, Matt Bolf, and Cody Smith.
