Bradly Andrew Stafford, 48, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, just days shy of his 49th birthday.
Born on July 12, 1976, to David and Julie Stafford, Brad lived a life full of heart, humor, and devotion to people he loved. He was a proud father, a loyal son and brother, a friend, and a passionate sports fan.
Brad found his greatest joy in being a dad. His bond with his son, Jackson, was unbreakable—centered around shared laughs, sports, and the kind of love that leaves a lasting legacy. Jackson was Brad’s proudest accomplishment and the heartbeat of his life.
He loved all things Chicago—especially the sports teams, even the New York Yankees. His enthusiasm was unmatched by his love for sports. He was a master in the kitchen, always eager to share his creations with family and friends. Brad was the kind of man who made you feel at home with just a smile or a joke. His love for life, family, and friends will be carried on by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his son, Jackson, and the love of his life, Alyssa Gaseor both of St. Petersburg, FL; his mother, Julie Stafford of Tucson, AZ; his father, David (Kim) Stafford of Ottawa, IL; grandmother, Patricia Kirkman of Tucson, AZ; his sisters, Jessica Stafford of Ottawa, IL, and Megan Stafford of Arizona; Traci Gaseor, Robert Gaseor, Kera Gaseor, and Jessica Gaseor; nieces and nephews Alex, Brady, and Carter Stafford, Brandon and Ashlyn Gutierrez, Nylah Cosper; and one great-niece.
Brad was preceded in death by his grandparents Gerald Houchin, and Roland and Norma Stafford.
Cremation services will be handled by a local funeral home. A celebration of life will be held in Ottawa, Illinois at a later date, for family and friends to gather and share stories, food, laughter, and memories—just the way Brad would have wanted.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at Financial Plus Credit Union located in Ottawa, Illinois in support of a fund established for his son, Jackson.
