To honor the area’s teachers this year, the LaSalle-Marshall-Putnam Regional Office of Education will put on a program on its YouTube channel this week. It’ll be shown at 5pm Thursday, May 6 on ROE 35 Presents. It would normally be an evening with an Excellence in Education banquet and in-person awards presentation, but the pandemic is making things go online again.
Regional Supt. Chris Dvorak says school staff worked very hard to educate students in unusual conditions for more than a year, so they deserve honors. Thirty-five will get gift cards for $100 from a nonprofit foundation called Educate 35.
