Some OSF Healthcare patients have to reschedule appointments because of a computer network problem. The patient information system went down early Friday morning. It was mostly resolved by Saturday afternoon, but not before a young man’s brain surgery had to be postponed, according to WEEK-TV in Peoria.
OSF says it’s investigating what happened and it’s contacting patients who need to have new appointments. The outage affected at least 11 OSF hospitals including those in Ottawa, Mendota, Bloomington, and Pontiac. It also affected OSF Home Care Services and OSF Hospice.
