Orrin Wiley, 98, of Earlville, died on Monday March 24, 2025 at LaSalle County Nursing Home, surrounded by his family.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2025 at the former Harding United Methodist Church, with Rev. Sandy Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Harding Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.

Orrin was born on March 3, 1927 in Harding, IL to Harry and Bessie (Battles) Wiley. He was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School. Orrin married Dorothy “Pork” McNamara on March 12, 1951 at St. Patrick’s Church in Ottawa. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and served during WWII. Orrin worked as a farmer for his entire life. He was a member of the Harding United Methodist Church.

He is survived by five children, Kevin (Deb) Wiley of Earlville, Kent (Sharon) Wiley of Earlville, Kris (Buzz) Iliff of Wyoming, IL, Karen Riveland of Earlville, and Harry (Karen) Wiley of Paw Paw, IL; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and family friend Elaine Ostrem.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy; four brothers, Wendell, Charles, Russell, and Myron Wiley; and three sisters, Dorothy Allen, Marjorie Wiley, and Winifred Wiley.

Memorials may be directed to the family or the donor’s choice.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Wendy Willett, Angie Wiley, Randy Riveland, Alex Riveland, Ryan Riveland, Ellen Wiley, Seth Wiley, Justin Wiley, Patrick Wiley, Luke Iliff, Nate Iliff, Joe Iliff, and Jay Iliff.
