Lisa Michelle Burns, 55, of Ottawa, passed away unexpectedly due to breathing complications on Friday, August 16, 2024 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Ottawa Funeral Home.
Lisa was born June 12, 1969, in Danville, IL, to Cheryl (Sallee) Lamb and Darryl Turner. She married Todd Burns on August 1, 1998, in Marseilles.
Lisa loved the outdoors. She was constantly hiking at Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Park. She adored the Rocky Mountains and loved everything about Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Way. She enjoyed working for WCMY as a receptionist. She had many pets she adored and was an avid supporter of Pet Projects. She volunteered at the hospital and with ADV/SAS.
She is survived by her husband, Todd Burns; her stepson, Kyle (Tayler) Burns; her siblings, Gina Arroyo and Brett (Terra) Turner; her nephews and niece, Christian Arroyo and Brett and Chloe Turner; her special great niece, Rachel Arroyo; her cats, Monkey, Moose, Ziggy, Doobie, Cookie, and Wally; and her dog, Miggy.
She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Cheryl and Bernie Lamb, and her father, Darryl Turner.
