The Veterans Assistance Commisson of Lasalle County is trying to provide jobs after military service.
The need for help was brought up by Superintendent of the VAC Steven Kreitzer.
Kreitzer says veterans can go find work after service at three different employment agencies.
Krietzer talked about how the acency could work to get a job bank to help veterans apply for different positions. This could involve the purchase or rental of a building here in Ottawa however the VAC has to work with the county board to get approval.
The issue was brought up at the County Board VAC and Nursing Home board meeting last Monday.
