(Springfield, IL) — Officials with NASA say several Illinois cities will enjoy the longest period for the eclipse among all American cities. NASA projects several cities in Southern Illinois will see more than two minutes of the total eclipse on April eighth. These cities include Alto Pass, Makanda, Carbondale, McLeansboro, and Marion.
