An Earlville police officer is at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford after a high speed chase in northwest LaSalle County Saturday night. The Earlville police department says the officer’s squad car crashed.
LaSalle County deputies say the car police were chasing crashed too on County Highway 12 north of Mendota. The police officer’s name hasn’t been made public.
But the person driving the other car is 23-year old Jaquaya Roy of Chicago. She faces several charges and spent the rest of the weekend in the county jail to wait for a bond hearing.
