LaSalle County Highway 5, also known as Sandy Ford Rd., will be closed at the bridge over the Vermilion River for several months starting Monday. The LaSalle County Highway Department says the closure will start Monday, March 29 and last into this fall while the bridge is replaced. Drivers will need to determine their own alternate routes around that spot east of Leonore.
