St. Sen. Sue Rezin says a report issued Tuesday backs up her contention that Gov. Pritzker’s administration isn’t doing enough to prevent infections at the state’s veterans homes. The Interagency Infection Prevention Project report says the state needs better training and infection prevention practices. Rezin has been critical of the Pritzker administration for not implementing recommendations made in 2019 after the Legionnaire’s outbreak at Quincy. She says it shouldn’t have taken 12 days for the state to send someone to the veterans home in LaSalle when the COVID-19 virus was spreading there.
