There’s a May 1 deadline to bring U.S. troops back from Afghanistan. Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin says when he voted for action in Afghanistan, he didn’t know the involvement would last so long.
Durbin says he sees no end in sight, but he wants to make sure there’s a safe exit for the U.S. troops. He says he wants to make sure things are stable there too. Durbin spoke on CNN’s State of the Union.
