The Oglesby City Council is considering moving the annual electric rate adjustment from June 1st to January 1st. Commissioner Jason Curran says it’s poorly timed in the summer.
A proposal on file at City Hall would skip this year’s summer rate adjustment and reschedule it to the start of 2022. The proposal would also cut rates for small commercial customers by 15%. It could be voted on at the next Oglesby City Council meeting.
