St. Sen. Sue Rezin says she’s happy there’s a mass COVID-19 vaccination site in Grundy County now. But the Morris Republican says there are still a lot of questions about Gov. Pritzker’s vaccine rollout. The Illinois Senate Republican Caucus has compiled a report on vaccination issues in the state.
Among them are confusion about why different health departments get different quantities of the vaccine, getting so little it will take years to vaccinate everyone, and inconsistent deliveries. And some local health departments just don’t have the money to run vaccination programs. The caucus is asking the governor’s office to be more open about how it does things and why.
Vaccinations at the Shabbona Middle School site in Morris are arranged through the Grundy County Health Department.
