Bill Introduced To Stop Hidden Fees In Illinois

(Springfield, IL) — A new bill is making the rounds aimed at stopping hidden fees in Illinois. State Representative Bob Morgan and State Senator Omar Aquino have filed a bill that stops companies from charging more for junk fees, otherwise known as “service” or “processing” fees. The legislation would also allow the Attorney General’s Office to go after companies not being transparent with their pricing. Aquino says junk fees take much-needed money out of the pockets of people who need it.
