Trials were scheduled this morning for two men charged with different murders in LaSalle County.
Twenty-five year old Kenneth Herbst of LaSalle is accused of smothering his infant son to death two years ago. Judge H. Chris Ryan set Herbst’s trial for June 14th.
Twenty-seven year old Bradley M. French of Varna is accused of killing a man in the Illinois Valley Community College parking lot in 2015 by shooting him with a bow and arrow. French had been convicted, but an appellate court ruled that he should have been allowed to present more evidence of self-defense. Judge Ryan set May 17th for the retrial.
