Wanda (DeMoss) Grotti, 92, of Ottawa, passed away on March 1, 2021 at LaSalle County Nursing Home.
Private funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday March 8, 2021 at First United Methodist Church in Ottawa, with Rev. Cheri Stewart, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the Mueller Funeral Home, Ottawa. Due to current State of Illinois guidelines social distancing and face coverings will be required.
Wanda was born on June 14, 1928 in Streator to William and Frances (Gordon) DeMoss. She was a graduate of Streator High School. Wanda worked as the secretary to the Superintendent at Ottawa Elementary Schools. She married James T. “Butch” Grotti, Jr. on June 1, 1979 at the First United Methodist Church, Ottawa. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Wanda is survived by her two children, Debbie (Tony) Dixon of Ottawa and Dan (Lori) Munson of Mendota; 9 grandchildren, Gwen (Craig) Couch of Spring Hill, FL, Heather (Ross) Johnson of Naperville, Christie (David) Trenor of Streator, Bill Jones of Ottawa, Kari (Steve) George of Peru, David (Vicki) Munson of Peru, Erik (Mallory Lawler) Frandin of Chicago, Nat Munson of Peru and Johanna Munson of Chicago; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Ina Raub of Ottawa; a brother, Greg DeMoss of Marseilles; a daughter-in-law, Lorene Munson of Oglesby; four sister in-laws, Doll Thomas, Jane (Al) Melton, Karon (Ron) Mini and LuAnn Wood; one brother in-law, Bill Grotti; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Butch on February 25, 2017; a son, Dale Munson; and a sister, Beatrice DeMoss.
Pallbearers will be Bill Jones, David Munson, Nat Munson, Erik Frandin, Randy Raub, and Gary Fogarty.
Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church, Ottawa.
