Ottawa City Hall is taking bids until the end of this month on extending water to Illinois 71 and Interstate 80. City Engineer Tom Duttlinger says the work is being split into two parts to get more bids.
This is part two of the utility service run done after annexing businesses at the intersection. Businesses that had septic tank troubles asked to be brought into the city so they could get sewer service. The sewer service was extended, so now it’s time for water.
