(Peoria, IL) — Gas prices in Illinois have jumped this past week. According to a survey in Peoria by GasBuddy, the average price of a gallon of gas increased by 17 cents this past week to three dollars to 43 cents. The current price is 34 cents higher than a month ago but is still 12 cents lower than last year at this time. Statewide, the average price of a gallon of gas is three-48 a gallon.
