(Marshall, IL) — Illinois State police say a recent crash on Interstate 70 near Marshall is the fifth accident related to the state’s Move Over law this year. The Move Over Law requires motorists to slow down and move over when approaching an emergency vehicle that has its hazard lights flashing. This past Friday, state police say a car struck a state trooper’s car that had pulled over on I-70 in Clark County. They say the trooper’s car’s lights were flashing while the officer was investigating a crash. Nobody was hurt but the driver was charged with several offenses, including failure to yield to a stopped emergency vehicle and driving with a suspended license.
