Habitat for Humanity has about half the money it needs to start the ReStore, a home improvement material resale shop, in late spring. Habitat also has a line of credit to cover sudden needs. Executive Director Sally Van Cura says Habitat still needs donations.

Furniture, shingles, tiles, and other materials for rehabbing homes can be donated on Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment. Van Cura says Habitat will soon buy a truck to pick up items so people who can’t take big items to the Re-Store themselves can still donate them. The Re-Store will open in Peru with 28-thousand square feet of floor space for products.
