Later this year, Perry Memorial Hospital will become part of the OSF Healthcare system and change its name. Interim CEO Patty Luker says with government reimbursements for Medicare and Medicaid going down, and with changes in what people want from health care, it’s hard to be an independent hospital anymore. After a two-year search, the hospital in Princeton has decided to affiliate with OSF to continue providing service.
Luker says no doctors are leaving. She expects Princeton area people to have more access to health care services in more ways, including tele-health.
