Tonight the Chicago Bulls travel to Charlotte to face the Hornets. The Bulls will also host the Los Angeles Lakers at the United Center on Saturday.
The Blackhawks host the Detroit Red Wings this weekend with the first game tonight at the United Center and will do battle again with the Red Wings on Sunday Afternoon in Chicago.

Northwestern looks to break their six game losing streak tomorrow when they travel to University Park to face the Penn State Nittany Lions. The Wildcats are 6-7 and 3-6 in the Big Ten Conference.
The Redbirds of Illinois State will host Valparaiso this weekend in a two-game series starting tomorrow night at The Redbird Arena. The 2nd game of the series will tip-off Sunday night.
The Northern Illinois Huskies contest with Buffalo scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed due to COVID 19 positive results within the NIU men’s program. The Huskies next scheduled matchup is Tuesday on the road at Bowling Green.
The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame head to the Sunshine State to face the Miami Hurricanes in an ACC match-up.
More news coming out of the Golden Dome The NCAA is placing Notre Dame football on a one year probation for recruiting violations. The Irish program was also fined five-thousand-dollars and given other recruiting restrictions.
In the NFL this Sunday
The NFC Championship Game features two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks as Tom Brady and the Buccaneers head to Lambeau Field to face Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers who are seeking their first Super Bowl berth in a decade. The Buccaneers are trying to get to the SuperBowl for the first time since their 2002 championship season. The Bucs dominated the Packers 38-10 in Tampa during the regular season.
The defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs will host the Buffalo Bills on Sunday in the AFC Championship Game in Kansas City. The Chiefs will be making their third straight trip to the AFC title game after beating the Cleveland Browns 22-17 in the Divisional Round. The Chiefs are hopeful Patrick Mahomes will be under center.
The Bears keep losing coaches. Bears passing coordinator Dave Ragone has been hired as offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons and running backs coach Charles London will also join the Falcons as their quarterbacks coach. Bears head coach Matt Nagy is already looking for a defensive coordinator to replace Chuck Pagano, who retired, and a defensive line coach to replace Jay Rodgers, who is expected to be hired as defensive line coach for the Chargers.
Over in the PGA
Brandon Hagy is on top of the leaderboard after the first round at the American Express Open in La Quinta California. Hagy shot an eight under par at the Jack Nicklaus tournament course.
The 2021 Summer Olympics are on the rocks once again due to COVID-19. Multiple reports say Japanese government officials have concluded the Tokyo Olympics will have to be canceled due to the ongoing pandemic. The Tokyo Olympics were already pushed back from 2020 due to the virus. Japan’s deputy chief cabinet secretary is denying the reports.
