A lawyer who lives in Peru will become an associate judge in Bureau County. James Andreoni has been the Spring Valley City Attorney for more than 25 years and the Oglesby City Attorney for the last eight. He’s been in private practice for nearly 40 years. And he was an assistant public defender in Bureau County for 24 years.
The circuit judges of the 13th Judicial Circuit have chosen him to fill the vacancy created when Judge Cornelius Hollerich retired. Andreoni will preside over civil and criminal cases.
