St. Margaret’s Health is the name of the operation running the hospitals in Spring Valley and Peru now. St. Margaret’s and Illinois Valley Community Hospital have consolidated their operations. It’s a trend in health care across the country as independent hospitals find it hard to remain by themselves. It has taken nearly two years for the hospitals to join. The hospitals are governed by SMP Health System.
