A local attorney has been given a top award from the Illinois State Bar Association. Jim Reilly of Ottawa is the founding partner of the Reilly and Skerston law office in Streator. His partner, Jennifer Skerston, nominated him for the Matthew Maloney Tradition of Excellence Award.
Reilly is a former president of the LaSalle County Bar Association, he’s a volunteer house captain for the United Way Labor of Love, and raises money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Reilly has been a lawyer for more than 40 years. Reilly also is chairman of the Prairie State Legal Services fund drives.
