Local unemployment rates went up from October to November. The Illinois Department of Employment Security says 5.8% of LaSalle County residents who wanted work didn’t have it last month. That’s up from 5.1% in October.
The Bureau and Putnam county rates were 3.9% in October and 4.7% in November.
Combining the three, the rates climbed from 4.7% to 5.5%.
Grundy County, in a different statistical area, held nearly steady. It went from 5.4% to 5.5%.
