One hundred doses of COVID-19 vaccine arrived at Morris Hospital Saturday morning. Hospital officials call it a surprise delivery. Grundy County isn’t one of the 50 Illinois counties getting it first, but a neighboring county had more than enough and gave to the hospital.
Because the means to keep the vaccine cold enough didn’t arrive with it, the shots had to be given quickly. And they were. Dr. Mary Gordon said she felt like she was waiting in line to see Santa when she was in line for her shot.
