As of Friday, there are 2,947 active and probable coronavirus cases in LaSalle County. The county’s health department reported six more fatal cases. The total is now 198.
The latest LaSalle County residents to fall to the virus were men and women in their 70s and 80s. Six in one day would have been a high number for the county until about a month ago. Now, five or six in one day isn’t so rare.
