(Carbondale, IL) — A Southern Illinois University Medical School student will be representing Illinois in the upcoming 2024 Miss America competition. Jessica Tilton was crowned the 2023 Miss Illinois. She is competing in the 2024 Miss America competition, which will be broadcast live from Orlando, Florida on January 14th. Tilton started doing pageants after being inspired by a TikTok video.
