The Marseilles City Council will ask for $1,598,700 from property tax payers in 2021. The city received $1,419,298.45 this year. Of the $179,401.55 increase, $80,000 will be an extra contribution to the police pension fund. City Commissioner Bobby Kaminski says the police pension fund is funded at 71% of what it should be. He’d like it to be up to 80% next year.
