City Commissioner Jim Buckingham missed Wednesday night’s Marseilles City Council meeting. Mayor Jim Hollenbeck said Buckingham wasn’t feeling well. Buckingham posted a little while later on Facebook that he tested positive for COVID-19.
Buckingham says he hasn’t lost his sense of smell. That’s one of the commonly reported coronavirus symptoms. But he has lost his appetite and 23 pounds with it. He urged everyone to take the virus seriously and stay safe.
