By noon tomorrow, a Grundy County judge hopes to know who will represent the LaSalle County Clerk’s Office in a court case over the election. The State’s Attorney’s Office would normally do it, but State’s Attorney Karen Donnelly lost one of the contested races. Judge Robert Marsaglia will find out if the Attorney General’s Office will step in for the County Clerk to avoid the conflict of interest.

The Republican Party wants a recount in the State’s Attorney’s race and the race for Illinois House 76th District. With the results certified nearly two weeks ago, Todd Martin will be State’s Attorney tomorrow and Lance Yednock will remain a House member.
